Our ROWALIT 300 family is based on ethylene-vinyl acetate (EVA). EVA is made by polymerizing acetylene together with minor amounts of vinyl acetate (VA). By carefully controlling the amount of VA used in the resulting copolymers we are able to achieve specific properties. These special products can be produced whenever the need arises. The range varies from a plastic-like appearance all the way to rubbery, highly elastic types. Thus, the ROWALIT 300 family is particularly well-suited for making shoes. ROWALIT 300 is the leading line of products for joining materials of differing textures and lends maximum physical strength and chemical resistance to bonded materials, such as natural fibers, furs, leather, and even plastics. It is superior to conventional adhesives in many ways, offering an unlimited shelf life, problem-free storage, extremely short setting times, and good adhesion. |
